Donut or also pi-disk from petrified wood. The diameter is approx. 30 mm. The form is quite timeless as decoration in an elegant and simple form. With petrified wood flints the cells of the wood and silicate minerals develop. The structure of the wood remains and the organic material disintegrates. But the wood must have been cut off very fast by sediment cover of the oxygen. One differentiates then, depending upon that, whether the wood material was replaced by quartz or opal, between quartz wood or opalisiertem wood.
Each pi-disk is individual in structure and coloredness. With regarding the piece of jewellery one can puzzle then from where the wood comes, about which one possesses a piece for the eternity.
