This high-quality gemstone has a very unusual blue color, which is reminiscent of turquoise, but contains slightly more blue components. Did you know that chrysocolla was once used as gold glue for granulation? That's where it gets its name from: “chrysos” is derived from the Greek for gold and ‘kolla’ for glue. Granulation is a process in which fusible materials, such as gold, are processed into powder at a certain temperature.
The chrysocolla pendant has a cross hole of around 3 mm in the upper third. Stainless steel hoops, silver chains and, of course, leather straps fit very well through this hole. Each chrysocolla pendant is unique in terms of its surface structure.
The gemstone pendant is about 30 mm in size.
