Almost all malachite comes from West Africa and Zaire. Most stones, such as hand charms and tumbled stones, but also necklaces and chain strands, which are made of malachite, are cut directly in the country of origin of the stone into the appropriate shape. Please note that malachite in contact with the skin over the years - for example, jewelry and malachite jewelry ,which is worn - can lose its luster. Please do not take this badly to the necklace, but live with the malachite jewelry, as it also "lives" and its surface just changes. Diminishing luster on malachite polish is not bad or worse than freshly polished malachite beads, just different. The green of malachite is unmistakable. Proper handwork you notice of course in the different thickness of the slices, in the not 100 percent cutouts, really nice the combination of handwork on the naturally grown stone.
