In beautiful narrow rock layers, the tiger eye lies next to the tiger iron layers. The stones are cut extra so crosswise against dei layers to show off this banding so beautifully.

    Great banding that shows the stones layering tiger eye / tiger iron and even sometimes some hematite (anthracite color) layer.
    Very hard to polish such stones with different rock layers so wonderfully, because depending on the rock layer the stones react differently to different grains of polish.
    The stones also show well that the tiger eye mostly occurs in very thin layers in nature.
